Philadelphia Trans and gender nonconforming history

Drawing from the archival, oral history, and ethnographic data from my dissertation project, I am working on an institutional history of trans Philly, which is focused on the numerous trans-focused organizations, programs, and projects that have been part of the city for many years. This project focuses on the early 2000s to the present, beginning with the founding of such programs and organizations as the Philadelphia Trans Health/Wellness Conference, the Leeway Foundation, and the Trans-Health Information Project (TIP), now known as the Trans Equity Project.
