V Varun Chaudhry, PhD is a scholar and advocate who researches and teaches about racial and gender justice. V’s academic work is invested in transgender studies, queer of color critique, Black feminist theory, and their intersections. V received a PhD in Cultural Anthropology, with a certificate in Gender and Sexuality Studies, from Northwestern University in 2019. V also works as a consultant with nonprofit organizations, foundations, and cultural organizations to improve their curricula, expand their mission statements, and systematize their approaches to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
V is currently an Assistant Professor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Brandeis University.
